Adequate (partial coverage requiring some out-of-pocket expense)

Annual round-trip flights for entire family
Healthcare
Good coverage with some limitations or co-pays
Good – reliable with some limitations

Very easily – thrived immediately (young children)

Excellent – diverse, high-quality offerings
Most activities have additional fees but are reasonably priced
Retirement/pension benefits
There are retirement benefits but percentage TBC
School leadership rating & stability
Good – generally responsive and supportive
Mostly stable (occasional changes)
British International School Phuket – Additional Benefits
Rent in the area has increased significantly in the last 3 years and the housing allowance hasn’t kept up.
Each teacher gets 30 days of personal leave per year including sick leave, if your kid’s sick, if you have a medical appointment etc.
It is a very diverse school with an enormous range of extracurricular activities. There is so much opportunity for the kids. My advice for anyone looking to work here is to go for it. It’s a great place to be.

Many leaders have been promoted from within. There are a lot of people who have been here around 20 years.
Saving on one salary as a family of four wasn’t possible (we did that our first year).
The community, facilities and opportunities for our kids are the best things about this school. And the kind and friendly colleagues.
